General info
This intensive one-day training program provides urologists and surgical trainees with foundational knowledge and practical skills in in robotic surgery on Single Port. Designed to build confidence from the ground up, the course combines essential theoretical insights with highly relevant repeatable exercises in a safe environment.
Participants will strengthen their core robotic surgery skills through focused exercises - such as anastomosis, skin dissection, and vessel dissection - allowing them to master the fundamental techniques required for safe and effective robotic procedures.
What you will learn
- Understand the principles and advantages of single-port robotic surgery compared to multi-port and laparoscopic approaches.
- Demonstrate correct patient positioning and trocar placement and system docking for single-port.
- Recognize intraoperative challenges (e.g., limited triangulation, ergonomics, CO₂ insufflation management) and apply practical troubleshooting strategies.
- Develop familiarity with the robotic console interface and instrumentation specific to single-port systems.
