General info
An exclusive opportunity for one-to-one training with an expert in single-port robotic surgery!
This intensive one-day training program provides urologists and surgical trainees with foundational knowledge and practical skills in single port robotic surgery!
Through a structured blend of didactic instruction, expert demonstrations, and guided hands-on experience, participants will gain foundational understanding and technical familiarity with the da Vinci SP system.
Choose your pathway
Participants can select one of two training tracks:
- Option A: Single-port robotic surgery for extraperitoneal radical prostatectomy (SP-ERP) and pelvic lymph node dissection (PLND)
- Option B: Upper Urinary Tract (robot-assisted partial nephrectomy)
What you will learn
By completion of the program, participants will leave with:
- A clear understanding of the core principles and clinical advantages of single port robotic surgery in urology.
- The ability to identify key anatomical landmarks relevant to extraperitoneal and retroperitoneal single-port approaches.
- Practical familiarity with patient positioning, trocar placement concepts, and SP docking workflow.
- Increased confidence in recognizing common technical and ergonomic challenges of single-port surgery and discussing basic troubleshooting strategies.
- Foundational exposure to single-port console handling and instrumentation, supporting further progression toward advanced procedural training.
- A strong conceptual and technical foundation in:
- Option A: SP-ERP and PLND
- Option B: SP-RPN
