Purpose of this consent
By agreeing to this consent, the participant gives permission to Orsi Academy BV to use their image, video, voice, or a combination of these, in the context of surgical video recording and bedside assistance for surgical performance assessment.
Types of recordings
The possible recordings may include:
- Video recordings from cameras in the operating room, including the surgical field and team interactions.
- Audio recordings capturing discussions and feedback within the operating room.
Endoscopic recordings obtained directly from the surgical equipment during the procedure.
Use of the recordings
The recordings will be used exclusively for educational, research, training, and quality improvement purposes.
The data will not be used for any other purpose without the participant’s explicit consent.
Ownership and use
All pictures, video or audio recordings, and any reproductions thereof shall remain the property of the author. Orsi Academy BV may use the material for the purposes described above.
No financial or other form of compensation will be provided.
Voluntary participation and withdrawal
Participation is entirely voluntary.
Participants may refuse to give consent or withdraw their consent at any time without any negative consequences.
Participants have the right to withdraw their consent at any time by contacting Orsi Academy BV at info@orsi.be.
Withdrawal of consent will not affect any processing that took place before the withdrawal.
Retention period
The recordings will be retained for a period of 10 years.
After this period, the recordings will be deleted or anonymised, unless otherwise required by law.
Legitimate use and third parties
The material will be used in a legitimate manner, both internally and outside Orsi Academy BV, and is not intended to cause harm or undue embarrassment to the parties involved.
If the data is not anonymised before being sent to third parties, written consent will always be requested first.
