Making Robotic Training Accessible
Through Friends of Orsi, the charitable foundation of Orsi Academy, we aim to give every healthcare professional the opportunity to develop advanced robotic surgical skills, regardless of their financial situation.
High-quality robotic training requires a fully equipped operating room, medical devices, expert faculty, and validated training models. These costs are substantial. While Orsi Academy strives to keep its training programs as accessible as possible, financial barriers can still exist, particularly for young medical professionals and candidates from regions with limited institutional support.
To address this, Friends of Orsi offers Scholarships & Grants that provide financial support to eligible physicians who wish to participate in one of our robotic training programs.
What does the Scholarship & Grant cover?
The Scholarship & Grant is a financial contribution that helps cover (part of) the cost of participation in an Orsi Academy robotic training course.
Each application is reviewed individually, based on eligibility and available funding.
Please note that grants are limited and awarded on a case-by-case basis.
Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for a Scholarship or Grant, applicants must meet all of the following conditions:
- Submit a proof of medical degree or physician status
- Provide a recommendation letter from their department or hospital
- Submit a recent salary slip (for financial assessment purposes)
- Have confirmation of access to a surgical robot in their home institution
