Daan Meersschaert

Meet Daan, part of the lab support team at Orsi Academy.

Alongside his colleagues, Daan ensures the welfare of the laboratory animals in the stable. He is also responsible for administering anesthesia and safeguarding the animals’ well-being during procedures. Together with the entire team, Daan sets up the surgical labs and provides essential support during training sessions.

Daan studied Agro- and Biotechnology at Odisee, specializing in animal care, and obtained a certificate in laboratory animal science. Before joining Orsi Academy, he worked as a zookeeper, gaining extensive experience with a wide variety of animal species.
