Leen Vanhoutte

Meet Leen! She studied Agro- and Biotechnology at HOGENT, specializing in animal care and graduated in 2011. She also obtained a certificate in laboratory animal science.

Before joining Orsi Academy, Leen spent over a decade working in a life science research and clinical diagnostics laboratory as a lab assistant, followed by one year as MSAT.

Together with her colleagues, she is responsible for preparing surgical procedures, setting up the surgical labs, providing essential support during training sessions, and administering anesthesia. Ensuring the welfare of laboratory animals, both in the stable and throughout surgical procedures, is her top priority.
